Meet our Founder
Cathy Cornelius, founder of Daughter Arise Inc., was born and raised in Benton Harbor, Michigan, as the youngest of twelve children. Growing up in a large, close-knit family taught her the values of faith, resilience, and compassion. After experiencing the heartbreaking loss of her sister at a young age, Cathy’s life was forever changed. That experience ignited a deep desire within her to bring comfort, encouragement, and hope to others—especially women and families navigating hardship and loss.
Guided by her faith and a lifelong passion for helping others, Cathy founded Daughter Arise Inc. to empower women and girls through faith-based mentorship, community support, and spiritual growth. Her mission is to remind every “daughter” that no matter their circumstances, they can rise with strength, purpose, and grace.
